We collect almost nothing, we never sell it, and we are not interested in following you around the internet. Here are the specifics.
Last updated: June 2026
Only what you choose to hand us. If you join the newsletter or reserve a copy, that is your email address. If you submit work to contribute, that is your name, your contact details, and whatever you tell us about your idea. If you email us, we have that email. That is the whole list.
Our signup and submission forms are powered by Google Forms, so anything you type into them is stored in our Google account and handled under Google's privacy terms. We use it to reach you about the magazine and to review submissions. Nothing more.
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. We load fonts from Google Fonts, and our forms live on Google, both of which may receive basic technical data like your IP address as part of serving those resources. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page first.
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, or ask us to delete what we have on you. Just write to kane@thesantamonican.com and we will take care of it.
The Santa Monican is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes, the new version lives right here with an updated date at the top. For anything else, we are a short email away at kane@thesantamonican.com.
